Gate 7: The Gate of the Role of the Self
You are a true leader. You are able to bring people to a common viewpoint, to establish a common understanding, and to motivate them to achieve a common goal. You can organize any process with ease. You are confident in what you do and this quality draws others in. They are ready to follow you. And what’s more important, you only lead those who have come to you voluntarily. The demands you make of yourself with Gate 7 are very strict. Inner discipline is important to you, and when it is broken, you get trapped in other people’s opinions, their likes and dislikes, and the herd mentality. To avoid this, you must come to an understanding of what is important to you, what you like, what you believe, and let these truths guide you in life. Don’t be afraid to go against the crowd and to cede leadership to someone else if you understand that a particular job doesn’t fit your truth. You mustn’t forget that success will come to you through the striving of those who have followed you entirely of their own free will and not through any efforts of your own. Leaders rarely become public speakers without Gate 31. It is Gate 31 that provides the voice that convinces the masses.
