Center 9: The Root Center
The Root center is located at the lowest point of the bodygraph. It plays a vital role in the functioning of the body, for it is here that the desire to live, to survive, to carve out a place of comfort, to achieve well-being and prosperity is born. The Root center spurs us on to better our material circumstances. To be efficient, to work hard, to make provision for life’s unexpected turns: Life demands these things of us. It is the energy of the Root center that allows us to withstand the tension, and pressure, and stress. This is where our ambition, our excitement, our thirst for recognition and desire to develop are born. This is where our wave of emotions begins. Defined A defined Root center is engineered to pass through stressful situations calmly without panicking. It’s as if something were propelling you through life: There’s always something to be done, and you’ve got to be in on everything. Just looking at you makes everyone around you move. How your ability to manage stress is manifested will depend on which one of three centers take the tension created by the active Root center. Root + Sacral Center: And a powerful format energy is frothing up within you. Any change in or around you will have you transforming constantly. Fear not: the Root center will guide you safely through each change. Root + Spleen Center: And no one knows better than you how to survive physically: What foods are good for you, what toxic friends to distance yourself from, and what food for the mind will help increase income. Root + Emotional Center: And you are endowed with keen emotional intelligence. A clear understanding of the purpose of particular emotions will help you live out all reactions in a way that is safe and beneficial for both parties.
