Step 4: How to read a bodygraph
The birth chart, also known as the bodygraph, is a central component of the Human Design System. It is a map of the positions of the planets and other celestial bodies at the exact moment of one's birth, and it is used to identify an individual's unique design, including their type, strategy and authority, and decision-making process. To read the bodygraph, you first need to understand the main components, such as nine centers, 64 gates and 36 channels. The centers represent various aspects of individual design, such as the mind, emotions and physical body. Gates are the numbers on the map that represent certain energies or qualities, and channels show the flow of energy and information between different parts of the map. By studying and interpreting each of the centers, gates, and channels, you can gain a basic understanding of your unique design. It's important to pay special attention to the undefined centers, as they can provide insight into areas where you have yet to fully develop or grow. In the next step of our journey, we will go deeper into the intricacies of the Human Design System by exploring key concepts such as aura, profile, and not-self.
