Who Are Reflectors?
Reflectors are the most remarkable and indeed the rarest type in Human Design. They account for only 1% of the population. They have no defined energy center. Reflectors, like Projectors, lack a constant energy supply. They must wait 29 days – a full lunar cycle – before they are able to make a decision that will be the right one. Reflectors in daily life and in relationships: Reflectors need people because they are non-energy beings and rely solely on the energy connections of others. They also need to be alone in order to discharge the energy they receive through their nine open centers. Reflectors are not meant for stable work, which can be a problem in both personal relationships and at work. They must always inform others of their decisions, as they find it difficult to know themselves and gain clarity when analyzing responses to the things they say. Reflectors experience life differently from the other types, so they can feel lonely and misunderstood and experience deep disappointment. They have a greater need for attention than most others and as a result often feel like they don’t fit in. If you are a Reflector: Learn to manage your energy: It is highly unstable Realize and accept that you have a great need for others Don’t rush into important decisions: You need 29 days to think one over When making a decision, talk to others or keep a journal so you can see the situation more clearly Don’t criticize yourself for being fickle: You were made to be fluid and open. Just accept that some people don’t like what you reflect back to them when you show them as they really are Learn to control the energy you get from others so that it can’t hurt you Some advice on how to deal with Reflectors: Don’t try to change Reflectors: Just accept them as they are Give them space and time to think Let them control their own energy, and don’t pressure them Remember that the Reflector needs a fair bit of time to think before making a decision Know that they need you more than you need them, but do not abuse this fact You will see the truth about yourself through them, and it is not always pleasant Do not take their frustration personally
